Record Revenue Surge for Macau Casinos in Early August 2026
Macau sees a 12% sequential bump in daily casino revenue, driven by major entertainment events.
According to a fresh report from banking group Citi, the first nine days of August 2026 saw a robust sequential recovery in Macau's Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), jumping 12% compared to July averages. Analysts reckon that massive entertainment events played a pivotal role in driving punters back to the tables. This includes the highly anticipated gig by Chinese pop icon Lei Zhang at the Venetian Arena, alongside back-to-back concerts by K-pop sensation (G)I-DLE at the Galaxy Arena. The VIP rooms were reportedly packed, signalling strong consumer confidence.
